Confession

I'm thinking of breaking my yarn diet. I know. It didn't take long. But I'm helpless in the face of a sale and there's going to be a good one at Gaspereau Valley Fibres this weekend. They're hosting Winter, Wine and Wool with some local wineries. Taste testing of Ice Wines, and a new batch of Fleece Artist seconds for about 50% off.

Would you be able to resist? Want to join me?

Sales don't count when it comes to yarn diets. It's like cake at a birthday - you have to indulge!

Oooh, glad that I don't live anywhere near you for this one! (And Wanderingcatstudio is right: sales don't count. Well, actually there are a lot of different yarn diets out there, so pick one that lets you buy yarn on sale :-) )

My yarn diet and the yarn diet of most of my fellow Knitterpudlians has been greatly faltered -- we've got 25% off right now, everything in the store but computers. I came home with a bag of yarn yesterday, and there's more waiting for me. T and I found out on Monday that the store is closing on March 31, so no more LYS. :(

It's sad, he's been there 21 years in March, me 12 years in March, the store has been around for over 30 years, starting as a home business. It's been for sale since last summer, and the owners want to retire. We figured we had til October cuz that's when the lease is up, but they decided to close earlier.

I'm not the person to encourage or discourage you! I can be sooooo bad about impulse yarn buying. I'll try to do better, and then I'll go crazy, usually when I find a wonderful sale. You know sales are short-term things. You may never find another sale again. I think you should buy...at least a little. Wool and Wine sounds fun. I didn't realize "Ice Wine" was actually wine. I knew there was "ice wine" tea.
